Nursing Team
Practice Nurse
Our nurse's who run disease management clinics such as Asthma and Diabetic reviews and also include additional services such as minor illness, blood taking, travel advice, cytology, vaccinations and childhood immunisations etc.
Healthcare Assistant
Joanne Charles, supports the clinical team with phlebotomy, vaccines, wound dressing and NHS Health Checks etc
Prescribing Clinical Pharmacist
Lee Kumar, who supports the practice with medication reviews and amendments.
Operations Manager
Shamim Ahktar is responsible for overseeing the Health & Beyond Group practices. She supports the practice managers and GP's within the organisation.
Practice Manager
Shamim Akhtar Operations/Practice Manager is responsible for the smooth running and organisation of the practice
Reception/Admin Staff
Ikra Akhtar - Hub lead, H.Z our Senior Receptionist, Larry McFadyen and Renee Saunders Stacey Gill, Hiba Asghar, Hammad Asghar are the first people you meet, they have got a very difficult job. They may need to ask you for details of your problem, please understand they are acting on the instructions of the doctor and ensuring that you are booked appropriately with the correct clinician.
Sandy Rahim, is our practice secretary who assists the practice team with administrative tasks including referrals and communication with other primary and secondary care services.
Health Visitors
Their main role is with under fives and families with young children.
You can contact them at the practice on alternate Monday mornings or at Harvey Road Health Centre on 0121 465 1850.
Midwives
They are involved in the care of pregnant women and mothers and their newly delivered babies. They can be contacted at the practice on Wednesday and Thursday mornings or on their 24 hour line 0121 424 2726.
District Nurses / Community Matrons
Have a valuable role in the community mainly in patient homes, they work very closely with the doctors and practice nurse team.
