Important Information About Repeat Prescriptions
Reducing Medicines Waste
If you are taking regular medication, and the doctor agrees, you may have a repeat prescription.
To allow the system to work please follow these rules:
- Allow 72 hours before trying to collect your prescription
- Always use your repeat prescription form
- Be familiar with your medication and always check your prescription when you pick it up.
Prescriptions are issued via an electronic prescription service. For full details please see EPS leaflet in the waiting area.

You can order your repeat prescriptions online. The Practice provides patients with access to its Clinical System via a Secure Website.
To use Patient Online Access you will need a Practice ID number and Access ID number. You can get these from the practice, and, in conjunction with a password, will be unique to you.

You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:
- Online, on the app or website where you order repeat prescriptions
- At your GP practice
- At any pharmacy that accepts repeat prescriptions
Medication reviews
If you have a repeat prescription, we may ask you to come in for a regular review. Please book a routine appointment for your review.
Questions about your prescription
If you have questions about your medicine or your prescription please contact the surgery.
Your local pharmacists can also answer any questions about your prescription. They can answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.
